Oakwood Farm

Set in the heart of Buckinghamshire, Oakwood Farm sits in over 100 acres of rolling countryside.

Established in 2009 with the objective of producing the finest quality free range eggs from chickens kept to the highest standards. We have long term relationships with the best retailers, who sell our eggs as a premium product because of our exacting quality and attention to detail. We also support local restaurants, shops and the local community by providing a regular supply of produce to people who share our values.

But it doesn't stop there, we pride ourselves on being environmentally friendly—minimizing the impact we have on both the local environment and the planet. We have planted over 1,000 trees and countless hedgerow plants on the farm as part of an ongoing programme to improve the farm. Even our deliveries of chicken food and our egg collections are carefully planned to minimise environmental impact.

So at Oakwood farm you will find 30,000 happy chickens free to roam and do what chickens like to do best while we get on with the hard work of making sure that they are properly cared for.

But you will also find solar panels which generate all the electricity we need to power the farm, natural habitats for rare species to grow in, and daily planning to minimize our environmental impact.

We are proud to be part of the John Bowler’s Eggs family of businesses and we share their values of quality and welfare. We monitor every aspect of the welfare of our flocks with automated systems and daily inspection processes. We are proud that we exceed the standards required by both the Food Standards Agency and the RSPCA backed Freedom Foods. We are accredited by DEFRA and, most importantly, our eggs are produced to the British Egg Industry Council (BIEC) standard.
